Everything is a list.
Not metaphorically but literally.
In code, everything lives inside lists → structured, ranked, ordered.
Life’s not so different.
We’re all competing to be part of some list → the richest, the most admired, the most followed, the most desirable.
Even when we don’t say it, we’re optimizing for it → followers, titles, net worth, validation.
But if life is a series of lists, then the most important decision becomes → Which list do you want to be on top of?
Most people chase wealth or influence because those lists are loud. But the real edge comes from picking the list where you have an unfair advantage → something uniquely yours.
Start with awareness.
List every list you want to belong to → personal, professional, creative, or otherwise.
Then rank them using your own framework →
What energizes you?
What compounds over time?
What creates real impact?
What feels deeply yours?
When you apply those filters, you’ll find the one list that actually matters.
Your real niche. Your real game.
Once you’ve picked that list, study the criteria.
What does it take to be in the top 10? Top 50? Top 100?
Then go all in.
Because every list has a price of entry. And excellence is simply the capacity to take pain longer than others.
It’ll take everything. And that’s exactly why it’s worth it.
Side note → It’s completely fine to not chase any list or to be in the top 10,000 instead of the top 10. What matters is whether you chose your list, or let the world choose it for you.
So ask yourself → Which list are you optimizing for?
