What is dropshipping?
A retail business with no inventory. It was much more than that for me.
During our term 1 at Masters' Union, as a part of the curriculum, we were proposed with an out-class challenge to build & run a drop shipping business in 6 weeks.
We didn’t just learn business but also so many other things. It started with discussing ideas and building teams as per the skillset required. I had a dream team to work with.
Arushi, Ananya, Hemant, Saumya. All are from diverse domains with different skill sets. But we failed big time.
We had a great idea – Cocoverse (a home-grown coffee aggregator); however, after having multiple conversations with mentors & leaders of the industry - we soon realised it’d take much more than 6 weeks to implement.
Hence, we pivoted to clothing and took up Unkultured. We put in efforts in the 4 weeks that were left with us. Despite numerous challenges, we reached a revenue of INR 86k+ which we are incredibly proud of.
We also won the “Best Marketing Campaign” Award.
It made me realise that failure is, in fact, the best teacher.
